About the Trip

Plan a trip to the heart of the American West, and organize an affordable stay at Etoquinnow!

From the Shoshone Native American Tribe, Etoquinnow means“A place to meet and talk”. GSMW is happy to open our “place to meet and talk” to Girl Scouts from around the world.  This Girl Scout house was built in 1949 and is located in downtown Cody, Wyoming, near the East Entrance to Yellowstone National Park. Book your stay at our house, and plan your adventure in “Cody Country” and Yellowstone.

From the house, you can walk the same path as Buffalo Bill and Calamity Jane to museums, shops, and historical markers.  Just a half a block away, you’ll find the throwback mini golf course.  And a quick one-block walk will take you to the world famous Buffalo Bill Center of the WestThe 300,000-square-foot complex includes five museums and a traveling display on natural history, including the Whitney Western Art Museum, and the Plains Indian Museum. Cody, Wyoming is also the Rodeo capital of the world, so plan to take-in and evening at the Cody Nite Rodeo which is held every night from Memorial Day to Labor Day.  Whitewater rafting, horseback riding, and hiking are all at your fingertips from Cody, Wyoming, as well.

The house can accommodate 30-40 girls in sleeping bags on the floor (no beds or mattresses provided.) There are two bathrooms, one shower, a large room that can be divided,  a stage, and a small kitchen equipped with an electric stove, microwave, refrigerator, and sufficient dishes and cooking utensils for large groups. There is also a TV and a DVD player.

Book your stay with us at the gateway to ultimate adventures for just $5 a person/night! (minimum of $50/night)
