About the Trip

Earn your lifetime Padi Open-Water scuba certification along the picturesque coastline of Phuket, Thailand while experiencing the breathtaking wildlife and unique culture the island has to offer. Spend a day at the Elephant Retirement Park feeding and interacting with these amazing animals. Enjoy the bustling markets, landscape, and cultural history of the 19th century Wat Chalong Buddhist Temple. Whitewater raft, zip-line, and hike to a waterfall for a quick dip. During downtime, relax on Karon Beach just outside our hotel.

What We’ll Do: Travel with us to Phuket Island in the southern region of Thailand. Phuket is Thailand’s largest island, sitting in the Andaman Sea along the southwest coast of the country, and connected to the mainland by the Sarasin Bridge. Covered in mountainous rainforest and skirted with beautiful beaches, there is much to explore in such a small region. You’ll earn your lifetime Padi Open-Water scuba certification and explore Phuket’s natural beauty and cultural history. Preparation begins a week prior to the trip by completing the online portion of your scuba course, which will be monitored by your instructors. After settling in Phuket and reviewing course materials, we’ll spend a day training in the pool, followed by two days on a dive boat to earn your full Padi certification. Feeling accomplished, we’ll set off to explore the island, feeding and bathing with elephants, visiting Wat Chalong Bhuddist Temple and the Trick Eye museum, white water rafting, zip lining, and hiking through the rainforest to discover a waterfall and go for a swim. We’ll begin and end each day on Koran Beach, a relaxed shoreline and picturesque beach.
