2022 Domestic Graduated 12th Outdoors Rising 10th Graders Rising 11th Graders Rising 12th Graders
About the Trip

Yeehaw! This week, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself completely in the Western world of horses. We will learn multiple skills that are unique to Western riding, such as Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Roping, and even herding cattle! Girls should expect to spend the majority of the day at the barn learning how to become an all-around cowgirl, both on the ground and in the saddle. While not in the saddle, girls will learn how to goat-tie, take care of large herds, handle equine medical emergencies, etc. We will also ride our horses out one night for an old-fashioned campout and spend the night under the stars, playing guitar, singing, and eating s’mores! Our last night, we will dress up in our best gear and have our own rodeo at camp! So grab your boots and helmet, and let’s go riding in the beautiful mountains and valleys of northwest Georgia!

Where You Go

Armuchee, GA

What to Know

Girls MUST have prior riding experience. It is highly recommended that girls have extensive experience stopping, starting, and steering their horses at a trot (minimum), but preferably at a canter. We will be riding Western all week, so girls that normally ride English will need to come with an open mind and the desire to try and learn new things.

Girls will also need to be prepared to spend a night outdoors.

Make sure to include your experience with horses and camp/camping  in your application!
