You’ll experience firsthand the Mexican and Native American roots of New Mexico’s unique culture by visiting a living museum, El Rancho de las Golondrinas, to explore life in colonial New Mexico, and by attending a feast day at the thousands-years-old Taos Pueblo for traditional Native American dance, food, and hospitality. See the art of Georgia O’Keeffe and spend a night in the gorgeous painted desert landscape that inspired her world-famous creations. Spend a day in Santa Fe visiting galleries and museums, then explore the mind-blowing interactive art installation at Meow Wolf. Then off to Bandelier National Monument to tour the ruins of ancient cave dwellings inhabited more than 11,000 years ago, followed by a visit to the Indian Pueblo Cultural center to learn about New Mexico’s 19 pueblos, watch traditional dances, and eat native cuisines. Spend your final day in New Mexico strolling the shops at Old Town, Albuquerque’s 300-year-old plaza, before you take the Sandia Peak Tramway to see the best view of the city from more than 10,000 feet in elevation.
