Get ready, get set, to experience a wilderness adventure! Located at the rustic Camp Natarswi, in the shadows of majestic Mt. Katahdin, hugging pristine shorelines all within Maine’s forever wild, Baxter State Park.

For 12 days, you’ll work on mastering your canoeing and camping skills, building your stamina on adventurous day-hikes along the Appalachian Trail, belaying and climbing the Natarswi rock, and walking on the wild side and sleeping under the stars to grow and enhance your outdoor skills.

You’ll experience one-of-a-kind Maine adventures through day trips to underground ice caves, natural water slides and waterfalls, Maine’s wildest river, and the Appalachian Trail all while building lasting friendships and a lifetime of memories!

What to Know

  • Participants must be physically fit upon arrival for strenuous outdoor activities and must possess a willingness to have new adventures and try new things including exploring caves, rivers, forests and mountains.
  • Applicants should have the ability to work well with others and enjoy outdoor adventures in a primitive setting.
  • Interest and experience in the outdoors and outdoor activities is required as well as camping experience (non-car) and basic camping skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced swimming skills are also required.
  • Hiking, canoeing and kayaking experience is preferred as well as an interest in mountain hiking.

June 27 - July 8, 2022

You must be between the ages of 11 - 14 at the time of the Destination.

A packing list will be provided after acceptance.

The Cost

Program Fee: $2,200

Program Fee covers all program expenses during the event. It does not include personal spending money or transportation to and from Bangor, Maine (BGR).

A $250 deposit will be due immediately upon acceptance. (It's part of the fee, not in addition to it).
