About the Trip

This Destination is FULL and no longer taking applications. 

Get ready for the ultimate UK experience in the birthplace of the Girl Scouting and Girl Guiding movement! On this British adventure, be whisked away to royal cities, fairytale castles, and breathtaking mountains. You’ll ride the London Eye for stunning city views, explore the city, and catch a live show in the famous West End theater district. Keep an eye out for royalty on your day trip to Windsor Castle! In addition to the stunning sights, you will get to stay at the historic Pax Lodge and connect with Girl Scouts and Girl Guides from around world and participate in many Pax Lodge traditions, including volunteering with a local community service project. After our English adventures, we will head to Scotland to finish our trip on a high note. Climb Arthur’s Seat for the best view over Edinburgh, stroll the Royal Mile, try to spot the Loch Ness Monster and visit Edinburgh Castle and Holyroodhouse Palace. Interested in arts & culture? You will also get to experience the world-famous Fringe Festival during your time in Edinburgh!

You must be at least 14 years old and should have completed 8th grade to join this Destination.

You should be open-minded, flexible, a responsible global citizen, and ready to experience another culture!

What to Bring

Packing list to be provided after acceptance. You will need a valid US passport with an expiration date no fewer than 6 months past your day of departure.

The Cost

Program Fee: You pay $2,500 (The actual program fee for this Destination is $3,200, but all girls who participate will receive a $750 scholarship, through a generous gift from the Juliette Low World Friendship Fund.)

Program Fee includes round-trip transportation to and from Charlotte, North Carolina. You are responsible for transportation to and from Charlotte.

Deposit: A $200 non-refundable deposit will be due after acceptance to hold your place.
