Are you interested in the outdoors? Do cultures intrigue you? This trip is for you!

Far away on the other side of the globe, Australia and New Zealand boast exotic wildlife, beautiful nature, and fascinating indigenous cultures. The Maori people of Rotorua are still very active in the society – experience their traditions at Hangi feast. In Sydney, see kangaroos, koalas, wombats, and more at the WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo, and in Cairns, snorkel in the Great Barrier Reef.

Girls on this Destination should come with a keen sense of adventure. This event has a good balance of outdoor activity and exploration, as well as cultural awakening.

What to Bring

Recommended packing list will be provided after acceptance.

Each girl will need a passport that is valid for at least three months after the trip. Each girl must also obtain a visa for Australia. No visa is needed for New Zealand.

The Cost

Program Fee: $5,350

Program Fee includes round-trip airfare from Los Angeles, all hotels, some meals, all entry fees and sightseeing tours in itinerary, transportation, travel insurance, a tour director and local guides.

Program Fee does not include airfare to Los Angeles. You will have to provide your own transportation to Los Angeles. Program fee does not include some meals, tipping, and money for souvenirs. Suggested spending amounts will be given upon enrollment.

There is a $300 non-refundable deposit due to Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles upon acceptance. There is a non-refundable deposit of $95 due to EF Tours upon acceptance. (This total $395 deposit is included in your trip Program Fee.)
