About the Trip

Experience the program thrill of a lifetime! The 2019 G.I.R.L. Fest promises to be adventure-packed with any kind of outdoor activity you can imagine – whitewater rafting, zip-lining, rappelling, mountain biking, kayaking/stand up paddle boarding, and so much more! In addition to high adventure activities, participants can earn Girl Scout badges, enjoy drop-in program stations, and take part in special ceremonies and other social functions.

Girl Scouts of Black Diamond Council is hosting this experience, and has partnered with the ACE Adventure Resort in order to make this opportunity available to girls across the nation! This event will take place at ACE Adventure Resort in Oak Hill, West Virginia.  Located approximately hour and half from Charleston and 20 minutes from Beckley, WV, this high adventure facility is nestled in the New River Gorge area. The closest airport to the event location is in Charleston, WV.  The Amtrak Train station is located in Prince, WV near Beckley, WV.

Note: Troops or Groups of Girl Scouts must have the proper number of adult chaperones for this encampment:Troop/group must have at least have the following adult to girl ratios:  2 adults for every 16 Girl Scout Juniors (4th-5th graders)  + 1 adult to each 1-8 additional Juniors; 2 adults for 20 Girl Scout Cadettes (6th-8th graders) + 1 adult  for each additional 1-10 Cadettes; 2 adults for 24 Girl Scout Seniors (9th-10th graders) + 1 adult for each additional 1-12 Seniors; 2 adults for 24 Girl Scout Ambassadors (11th-12th graders) + 1 adult for each additional 1-12 Ambassadors.

What to Know

This Getaway is open to troops/groups of currently registered Girl Scout Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors (4th-12th grade) and their adults for the Girl Scout 2018-19 membership year.  All adults must also have a current background check on file with their local council.

The Cost

Full G.I.R.L. Fest Pricing (June 26 - 30):

EARLY-BIRD PRICING - Until January 18, 2019
• Girls and Adult Members in Troops/Groups: $435 per person
• Single Girls: $485 per person (This option is only available for Black Diamond Council members.)
Deposit Required: $100 per person + other deposits for lodging upgrades will be required, if desired.
Note: The price includes ACE trip/activity options, ACE waterpark admission, Girl Scout programming, special program vendors, shuttle service, campsite rental, meals, other logistical support costs, and event patch. Tent rentals and lodging upgrades are available through ACE Adventure Resort.
Deposits are due on January 18, 2019 to lock in early bird pricing. Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE.

REGULAR PRICING - After January 19, 2019
• Girls and Adult Members in Troops/Groups: $475 per person.
• Single Girls: $525 per person (This option is only available for Black Diamond Council members.)
Deposit Required: $100 per person.
+ Other deposits for lodging upgrades will be required, if desired.
