About the Trip

Experience the program thrill of a lifetime! The 2021 GIRL Fest promises to be adventure-packed with any kind of outdoor activity you can imagine – whitewater rafting, zip-lining, rappelling, mountain biking, kayaking/stand up paddle boarding, and so much more! In addition to high adventure activities, participants will work on Girl Scout program awards and badges, enjoy drop-in activity stations, and take part in special ceremonies and other social functions.

Girl Scouts of Black Diamond Council is hosting this experience, and has partnered with the ACE Adventure Resort in order to make this opportunity available to girls across the nation! This event will take place at ACE Adventure Resort in Oak Hill, West Virginia.  Located approximately hour and half from Charleston and 20 minutes from Beckley, WV, this high adventure facility is nestled in the New River Gorge area. The closest airport to the event location is in Charleston, WV.  However, some troops/groups choose to fly into larger city airports, such as Cincinnati, Charlotte, Columbus, or Pittsburgh and rent a car to go to GIRL Fest. Also, the Amtrak Train station is located in Prince, WV near Beckley, WV.

Local and state Covid-19 health and safety guidelines will be followed in addition to GSUSA Safety Activity Checkpoints and Volunteer Policies.
