About the Trip

Plan a trip to the heart of the American West, and organize an affordable stay at Etoquinnow!

“Etoquinnow” is a Shoshone Indian word meaning… “A place to meet and talk”. This Girl Scout house was built in 1949, and is located in downtown Cody, Wyoming. Book your stay at our house, and then plan your own adventure in “Cody Country”!

From the house, you can walk to museums and sights, including 1/2 block to miniature golf and one block to the Buffalo Bill Center of the WestWe highly recommend that visitors plan a visit: it is a 300,000-square-foot complex with five museums and a traveling display on natural history, including the Whitney Western Art Museum, and the Plains Indian Museum. We also recommend the Cody Nite Rodeo (held every night in the summer months!) In addition, river rafting, horseback riding, and hiking are just some of the marvelous things you will find in the area.

The house can accommodate 30-40 girls in sleeping bags on the floor (no beds or mattresses provided.) There are two bathroomsone shower, a large room that can be divided,  a stage, and a small kitchen equipped with an electric stove, micro-wave, refrigerator and sufficient dishes and cooking utensils for large groups. There is a TV/DVD.

For just $5 a person/night! (minimum of $50/night)
