About the Trip

Spend a week in the beautiful mountains of Northwest Georgia learning what it takes to impress in the equitation ring. Spend each day riding with former NCAA and IHSA riders and coaches mastering tips and techniques and for riding equitation courses, test and flatting. Relax on over 15 miles of riding trails and take advantage of some of the other activities camp has to offer when not at the barn, which may include challenge tower/zipline, riflery, archery, canoeing, swimming and more!

Two riding sessions per day. Learn how to walk and execute a course, adjust for different horses, and know what judges are looking for in different competition formats. Focus on equitation skills for collegiate riding. End of week equitation challenge.

What to Know

Must have completed 5th grade to participate.

To participate in this Destination, you MUST have prior riding experience and be comfortable tacking with minimal assistance and riding at a canter/lope. You must also have had previous jumping instruction.

Make sure to describe your riding experience in your application!


The Dates

July 29 - August 5, 2018 OR July 28 - August 4, 2019

Must be 12 – 18 years old at the time of the event.

Make sure to indicate on your application if you are applying for the 2017 Destination or the 2018 Destination!

What to Bring

Packing list to be provided after acceptance. No specialized equipment will be necessary.

The Cost

Program Fee: $1,000

Program Fee does not include transportation. You will be responsible for round-trip airfare to Atlanta, GA.

A $250 non-refundable deposit will be due upon acceptance.
