About the Trip

Few opportunities come along for a college-bound Girl Scout to be as independent and truly adventurous enough than going on a goCAMPUSing College Tour, where they can see what their futures can hold. A Girl Scout, and their Girl Scout friends, spend 9 days and 8 nights meeting new people, and making new friends for life, while sharing the college experiences of visiting 9 college campuses, asking questions, seeing new sights, and experiencing activities like visiting the World of Coca Cola and a behind-the-scenes tour of the global HQ of CNN. This goCAMPUSing Tour includes a 2-day workshop that prepares students for selecting a college, how to identify a college with the right “fit”, know-how to apply to a college, SAT & ACT tests and scores, the insight on essays, the  Greek mystique, and understanding what each college is looking for in an application. DESTINATION COLLEGE EDUCATION is truly a College Prep Course for Girl Scouts that’s enlightening, personally enriching, affordable, safe, and a whole lot of fun.

Join 23 sister Girl Scouts in a fun and educational experience. The experience begins with a 2-college boot camp on self-exploration and assessment, identifying career and college options, how to select the right school, and understanding college financing options. Girls will tour 9 prestigious schools and experience Atlanta, South Carolina, and North Carolina from the eyes of a teenager. Girls will also gain firsthand knowledge about different collegiate experiences from current college students and faculty, complete with campus tours!

College visits will include Agnes Scott, Spelman College, University of Georgia, Georgia Tech, Emory University, Duke, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, Chapel Hill.

Plenty of time will be provided for sightseeing and shopping in Atlanta, GA.
