About the Trip

CANCELLED for 2020 – please check back in August to see Summer 2021 opportunities with ATS.

With Scandinavian architecture, miles of coastlines, the world’s oldest amusement park, and a castle in every town, Denmark is a traveler’s dream. This is a trip for the true traveler who wants to see a country from a totally unique perspective—by bike. Starting at the famous brightly colored canal houses of Copenhagen, we will begin our bike tour of Denmark and Sweden. Our luggage will be shuttled from one bed and breakfast to the next the entire trip, leaving us the entire day to leisurely sightsee as we visit famous sites and fishing villages. Biking for only a few hours a day, we will be left with plenty of time to take dips into the North Sea, visit world class museums, and go inside Hamlet’s castle from Shakespeare. On our day tour to Sweden, we will take a ferry to Helsingborg and explore the picturesque port town. With plenty of castles, award winning museums, and the famed Little Mermaid statue along the way, we will have much to see and the once in a lifetime opportunity to see Denmark and Sweden by their favorite means of transportation: a bicycle.

Our tour on bicycles will take us on bike paths and country roads through scenic Denmark. Enjoying views of Denmark only accessible by one of the safest bike pathway system in the world. We will ferry into Sweden for a round trip bike ride through gardens and forests to get a glimpse of yet another beautiful landscape and country. Peddling along shorelines and lakes, we will see famous landmarks such as The Little Mermaid statue, Frederiksborg Castle (known for being the most famous Renaissance castle in the world), and the interactive Danish Maritime Museum, with plenty of time to swim in North Sea along the way.
