14 15 16 17-18 Apprenticeships Domestic
About the Trip

CampHERO is a unique experience that exists only through Girl Scouts. Train like a professional in the Protective Services. Learn from female and male police officers, firefighters, and EMTs. This isn’t just a learning experience, it’s a doing experience! You’ll be side-by-side with the pros when you get your hands on specialized equipment like ladders, backboards, IVs, handcuffs, and much more. You even get to cut open a car with the Jaws of Life! Where else will you get to do that?!

Days are spent at the state-of-the-art Protective Services training center in Madison, WI. When the day is done, experience living like a firefighter by bunking in with your crew at one of our Girl Scouts of Wisconsin – Badgerland camp facilities. There is also a night out during the week to explore Madison. The week ends with a simulated emergency scenario where you put into action all of the skills you have learned during this remarkable Destination.
