Ever wonder how plants grow in so many different places? Plenty of plant seeds are excellent travelers! Some float far and wide on the wind. Others, like maple seeds, have wings and can fly through the air, twirling as they fall to the ground from trees. See if you can find maple seeds in your area, and drop one to see if it spins on the way down. Or you can make our own! All you need to create a maple seed flyer is our Print&Play template, plus scissors (have an adult help you cut it out) and a paper clip. Fold the wings, insert the clip, then toss or drop the flyer.
