Make a Forever Green Tote Bag
Sep 19, 2012
On average, Americans throw away about 100 billion plastic bags a year. That’s a lot of bags! Environmentalists don’t like plastic bags because they aren’t biodegradable and pose a danger to birds and marine animals that swallow or choke on them. So why not skip plastic bags altogether? Use our Do It Yourself to create a reusable tote from an old T-shirt. All you need is a pair of scissors, a needle and thread, and some basic sewing skills. Once you’re done, decorate and personalize your reusable tote. Then, next time you’re out shopping, tell them to hold the paper and the plastic!
