Eye on Technology
When women running small businesses need tech help, they turn to Jennifer Donogh. Her Duvall, Washington–based company, Ovaleye, provides web hosting and other packages of technology services to female entrepreneurs. These services are typically aimed and marketed to men and can sometimes intimidate even tech-savvy female business owners.
But Jennifer doesn’t do it on her own. Her business is a family affair. She joined the company, which her parents started in the 1990s, and took it to the next level.
“I grew up in an entrepreneurial family,” she says. “My parents made it known to us at the dinner table that they thought the American Dream was having complete freedom over how you spend your day—being your own boss.”
